My name is Al- Razee Anonnya, though I am much familiar with the name "Robert Burns" , a nickname that has stuck to me over the years. I started with collecting stamps but later I switched to matchboxes as I found matchboxes and labels to be more magnificent and rich in history and culture. I started my journey as a matchbox collector in March 2018. Now I have over 16000 different matchboxes, book matches and match covers and I have over 24000 different labels from all over the world.
Theme for this exhibition: "RUSSIA GLORIOUS "
Russia has been one of the paradises for matchboxes for over 150 years. Russian matchboxes and labels have depicted the vibrant culture of the largest country in the world for many years in a very charming and elegant way. Russian labels, therefore, will always be on top of my priority list. That is why, I decided to show some matchbox labels, gross labels and uncut labels from Russia for this magnificent exhibition.
